Cowboy-Gorilla preview for tonight

A Highway 18 rivalry boys basketball game will happen inside the Gregory Memorial Auditorium tonight when the Colome Cowboys tip-off their season against the Gorillas. Gregory lost their season opener to Chamberlain on Tuesday, 57-38. Coy Determan led the Gorillas with 16 points while Tommy Determan chipped in 15. Drew Weber’s Cowboys look to have a strong season as they will be led by their six seniors- Jackson Kinzer, Layton Thieman, Calvin Ringing Shield, Wyatt Cahoy, Chase Dufek and Beau Bertram. Chris Doski will have pre-game coverage start at aroudn 7:35 tonight on Magic 93!

East/West Classic pairings for December 28th in Chamberlain

The East/West Classic will take place on December 28th at the Chamberlain Armory.  At 11am, Crow Creek will battle Elk Point-Jefferson followed by Timber Lake playing Canton. At 2pm, the Douglas girls will play Harrisburg followed by the Harrisburg boys taking on Douglas. At 5pm, the Winner Lady Warriors will battle top ranked Ethan. At 6:45, the Chamberlain Lady Cubs will take on Philip followed by Chamberlain playing Sisseton at 8:30 in the nightcap.

Coverage from Gregory on Thursday

Coming up on Thursday night, the Colome Cowboys will play the Gregory Gorillas inside the Gregory Memorial Auditorium in boys high school basketball. Chris Doski will have coverage on Magic 93 starting at around 7:35. The Gorillas have their first game of the season tomorrow night when they host the Chamberlain Cubs. The Cowboys first game will be on Thursday before they head to Cody-Kilgore on Saturday.

Freeman to battle Kimball/White Lake tonight

Boys High School Basketball will take place inside the Corn Palace in Mitchell tonight when the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats battle Freeman. Freeman is 0-1 on the season after falling to Viborg-Hurley on Friday, 82-37. Kamden Miller’s Wildkats won their season opener on Friday night as they took down Mount Vernon/Plankinton,  68-41. Carter Fredericksen led Kimball/White Lake in scoring as he put up 24 points while teammate Kordel Kiehn had a double-double as he had 15 points and 14 rebounds.
