Sarah Gustafson

Hi there…I’m Sarah Gustafson.

I am a transplant to this area-kinda-I was born in Valentine, NE when my folks were living in White River, but they moved shortly after I was born, and I was raised in the mountains and the rangelands of Wyoming. Guess you always return to your roots, huh?!

I came to Winner the first time in 1999 as an assistant manager at the Pamida store here in town. I left in the Spring of 2000, but upon hearing of the Store Manager position coming available at Pamida here in 2002, and remembering how friendly the community was, I just had to come back! Ended up finding that special “someone” here…local boy Maurice Gustafson from out in the Wood area, and we were married December of 2004. No offense honey, but it seems like we’ve been married forever!!! Hope that’s a good thing?! As they say, the rest is history…Our daughter Shayna keeps us busy with all of her interests and activities since becoming a teenager…she is growing up WAY to fast.

I answered an ad for onair work here at KWYR…after much self-reflecting of “can I do this?” and am so glad that I did. I very much enjoy working on the air here at KWYR. You will usually hear me on Sunday mornings, or occasionally filling in for Lisa, Scott or Chris during the weekdays. KWYR is a great local radio station, and everyone working here is very friendly and quick to make you feel welcome…just like the local communities here in Central SD and North Central NE.

Thanks for checking out my bio, and don’t forget to keep it tuned in to 93.7 Magic 93 or Country 1260 KWYR.
