This is a message from the Winner School District regarding the COVID-19 situation. This information will also be available on the school district website. There will be no on-campus instruction at the Winner School District for all grade levels until further notice. Students in grades Begindergarten through grade 5 will pick up learning packets each Monday at the Elementary front entry from 10am – 2pm starting March 23rd. These learning packets will also be available online at the district website. For students in grades 6-12 staff will use google classroom to deliver coursework to the students. Students may pick up their computers and books on Monday, March 23rd from 10am – 2pm. There will also be no parent teacher conferences this spring.
Lunch will be available via a drive-thru pickup at the front of the armory for all children in our district from age 0-18 from 12pm – 1pm Monday through Friday until regular school resumes. The child must be in the vehicle to receive a meal. Lunch will continue to be delivered to the Winner and Ideal communities.
There will be a blood drive today in the White River Community from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Community Events Center Gymnasium. With question or to register today one can call Tracy Tucker at 605-259-3137.
Mission, SD- The RST Commodity Food Program will be severely limited with no more than six program participants allowed access.
Public access will be through the northeast door only and the northwest door will be used as an exit only.
Program participants who are diagnosed with flu or have flu like symptoms are encouraged to stay home, and send their authorized representative to up their groceries.

Custom Touch Homes in Madison, South Dakota is holding an open house on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th. Friday hours will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday hours 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will allow individuals to see new offerings in 2020 and future years.
The Burke Stampede Feed and Auction that was scheduled to take place Saturday, March 21st has been canceled due to health concerns. The event was set to raise money to repair damage to the rodeo grounds caused by the tornado last summer.
There will a special matinee showing of the film “Onward” on Tuesday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Pix Theater in Winner, South Dakota and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day they are are offering $1.00 off on Starburst Candy for all patrons wearing green clothing.
There will be a two day blood drive in Winner, South Dakota on March 23rd and 24th. The drive on the 23rd will take place from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m while the drive on the 24th will be from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both blood drives will be held at the Winner City Office Main Room. The South Dakota High School Activities Association has made the decision to limit fan attendance for the remainder of the ‘B’ girls’ state basketball tournament in Spearfish.
This decision comes as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping across the United States.
Each team will be given 125 tickets per game, which includes access for players and coaches as well. Tickets are also only good for the game the ticket is listed for.
