There will be a blood drive in Burke today from noon-5pm at the Burke Civic Center. If you would like to make an appointment you can call Leslie at 775-9122. Today’s blood drive is being sponsored by the Gregory County Employees of FSA.

Tonight, the Todd County High School will be sponsoring a free application for federal student aid during their family night for all senior students and parents. Families will need to bring their W-2’s for this or last year to process the financial aid application program. It will be held at the Library from 5-6:30.

There will be a blood drive in Ainsworth this Thursday, February 11th from 11am-5:15pm at the Catholic Church Fellowship Area. To make an appointment you can call Roger at 402-387-2082. The drive is sponsored by the Ainsworth High School FFA.

The annual Wood Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser will take place on Saturday, February 20th starting at 6pm at the Wood Community Hall. They will be serving roast beef and pork loin. A free will offering will be taken at the event. All of the proceeds will go to the Fire Department in Wood.

The Burke City Council will meet tonight. They will gather in the Municipal Building Meeting Room at 7pm. The Valentine School Board will hold a meeting at 5pm tonight at the Valentine HIgh School. A blood drive will run from 1:30-5:30 today in Kimball. It will take place at the Catholic Church.

The 13th annual Bullnanza will be held this Friday , February 12th from 10am to 4pm at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner. Top area producers will showcase their bulls this week! There will also be a large trade show, delicious concessions and over $2500 in door prizes that will be given away!

We want to let you know that a baked potato benefit will take place next Friday, February 12th at the Winner National Guard Armory to help defray medical expenses for Winner High School Teacher John Hansen. That benefit will take place from 4:30-8pm.

Kung Fu Panda 3 will once again be showing this weekend at the Hipp Theatre in Gregory. There will be shows tonight, Saturday and Sunday nights at 7:30pm. Some of the big actors in the movie are: Bryan Cranston, Jack Black and J.K. Simmons. The movie is rated PG.
