Lions, Cowboys and Steelers win on Thursday
DETROIT (AP) – Matt Prater kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired after Darius Slay returned an interception 13 yards with 30 seconds left, lifting the Detroit Lions to a 16-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings Thursday and into sole possession of first place in the NFC North. The Vikings have lost five of six, plummeting out of first place after surging to the top of the division by winning their first five games.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Dak Prescott accounted for two touchdowns, fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott ran for a pair of scores and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins 31-26 Thursday. The Minnesota Vikings will host the Cowboys on December 1st.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH’-lis-bur-gur) threw for three touchdowns to Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell ran for 120 yards and a TD as the Steelers blew past the Colts 28-7. Roethlisberger and Brown connected for 33-, 25- and 22-yard scores at Indy, who were without concussed quarterback Andrew Luck.

Enjoy some Vikings football on turkey day!
What’s better than enjoying some great food and football on Thanksgiving?! Especially if you are a Vikings Fan! Tomorrow morning the Minnesota Vikings will tee it up as they take on the Detroit Lions at 11:30am in the motor city. There will be two other games on turkey day too, the Cowboys will host the Redskins and the Colts will host the Steelers. Three Cowboys make 9B All-State Football team!
The South Dakota Football Coaches Association has released its Class 9B All-State Football team. Locally, three Colome Cowboys made the squad! Kelly O’Bryan was named first team all-state as a receiver. Matt Campbell also made first team all-state as an offensive guard. Linebacker Wiley Heath made first team all-state as well! Congrats to the 9B State Champion Cowboys on having three individuals make first team all-state!
Husker Huddle to air on Friday morning
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, ‘Husker Huddle’ with Doski will not be airing this Thursday. Chris and a local Husker Football fan will instead break down Friday’s matchup at Iowa on Friday morning for a game day edition on Country 1260AM! There will be plenty to talk about as Nebraska needs a Wisconsin loss to Minnesota if they want to play for the Big Ten Championship next month. Go Big Red!
Big Red Football to kickoff at 2:30 on Friday
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will close out their regular season this Friday in Iowa against the Hawkeyes. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 central. Pre-game coverage on Country 1260 will begin at 1:40. Nebraska needs a win and a loss by Wisconsin to advance to the Big Ten Championship game. Nebraska is coming off a 28-7 win over Maryland while Iowa is 7-4 and are coming off a 28-7 win over Illinois.
Vikings Visit returns tomorrow!
Chris will be back with another edition of ‘Vikings Visit’ tomorrow on Country 1260 and 93.7FM. Chris and a local Minnesota Vikings fan will talk about the game against Arizona and also look ahead to their Thanksgiving showdown as they will play at Detroit against the Lions. The program will air at around 3:45 on Country 1260 and at around 7:10pm on Magic 93!
The Sports Zone to return next week
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the ‘Sports Zone’ with Chris Doski and Casey Hutmacher will not air this week. The program will return on Thursday, December 1st starting at 1:45. Chris and Casey will make their NFL picks for the week and then give away a Bug Light Prize package at the end of the show! The guys wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!
