It was a pretty good night for our area Highway 18 football teams in the first round of the playoffs last night. In 11B, Winner marched on to the quarterfinal round as they beat Parkston 52-0. Winner will play next Monday against Tri-Valley in a rematch of last seasons 11B Championship. In Class 9AA, Gregory advanced to the second round of the postseason after beating Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central, 35-16. The Gorillas will now play Clark/Willow Lake on Halloween night at Mike Dacy Field. In 9B, the Colome Cowboys march on after they beat DeSmet, 46-14. The Cowboys now await who they will play on Monday since Leola/Frederick and Langford will now play tonight after being postponed last night due to weather. Best of luck to the Cowboys, Gorillas and Warriors next week!
