Here are a few reminders on some meeetings that will take place in our area tonight: The Burke City Council will meet tonight at 7pm. The meeting will happen in the Municipal Building Meeting Room. The Tripp County 4-H Trust Fund annual meeting will take place tonight at 7pm at the Tripp County 4-H Center. Also tonight, the Burke School Board will meet at 7:30pm inside the Burke High School Library.

Al’s Oasis “Last Chance Saloon” and Budweiser will bring you the area’s largest Super Bowl party on Sunday, February 5th! There will be lots of prizes that will be given away all throughout the day and into the night- including Bud beer glasses, a 58 inch television, a recliner and plenty more! The annual Niobrara Polar Bear Festival is coming up this Friday and Saturday, January 27th and 28th in Meadville, Nebraska! Friday night, there will be a steak fry and then karaoke at the Meadville General Store. On Saturday, there will be registration for the “dippers” and then the actual Polar Bear dip will get underway at 2pm.
