A ladies night will take place on February 8th at the Rosebud Arrow Rod and Gun Club in Winner starting at 7pm! Ladies are asked to bring their own gun (22 pistols only), ammo, eye and ear protection.  Members will get to shoot for free and non-members will need to pay five dollars. Ladies twelve years and older are welcome. An adult must be present with twelve year olds.

Don’t forget that the Gregory Caregivers Support Group will meet this afternoon at 1pm at the Avera Gregory Hospital. Tonight, the St. John Lutheran Womens annual soup tasters supper will take place from 5-7 at the Church Fellowship Hall in Gregory. This Sunday, January 22nd, a ‘Walk this Way’ event will be held starting at 4:45pm at the Burke Civic Center. The event is open to the public this weekend.

Held over at the Hipp Theatre in Gregory this weekend is the movie “Sing”. Show times this Friday through Sunday will be at 7:30pm. The fifth annual Mike Dacy free will donation hog roast will be held Friday night beginning at 6:30 at Mary Bobs in Gregory! Also, the Kennebec Town and Country Club will hold an ice fishing tournament January 14th and the 15th. You must be registered by 3pm on Saturday. A rules meeting will happen on Saturday starting at 3 at Hot Rods in Kennebec.

A Caring Coats Project is taking place in Chamberlain-Oacoma! The community is collecting gently used and new coats of all sizes, vests, gloves, scarves, mittens, hats and blankets right now. You can drop off those items at Hair Expressions. If you have a coat to give then please leave a coat. If you need a coat, then you are encouraged to take a coat. Don’t forget that the annual meeting of the Winner Community Playhouse will be held tomorrow night beginning at 7:30 at the Playhouse. Next week, the Winner High School Play will be held January 19th through the 21st at the Playhouse! Doors will open at 7pm and the curtain time is 7:30. There will be three short acts each of the three nights.

SDSU Extension will be hosting a private pesticide applicator certification class in Winner and in Pierre this Wednesday, January 11th at the SDSU Regional Extension Centers tomorrow.
