The Howard Wood Relays wrapped up on Saturday in Sioux Falls. Here are some of the many highlights that involved our area athletes:

In the boys 1600 sprint medley, Winner was runner up to Milbank

Caelyn Valandra-Prue of White River won the 400 in a time of 56.27 and won by a tenth of a second

Kimball/White Lake finished third in the girls 1600 sprint medley

KWL was runner up in the girls 4 x 4 and 4 x 8 relay. Burke was third in the girls 4 x 8

Friday, Winner’s Brady Fritz won the long jump and broke a school record with a  leap of 23 feet.

White River’s Caelyn Valandra-Prue was fifth in the girls 200 special event
