The Winner/Colome Royals swept a doubleheader against Rapid City Post 320 on Saturday at Leahy Bowl. In game one, Riley Calhoon’s two run inside the park homerun in the sixth inning was the difference as the Royals edged the Shooters, 8-7. The Royals were down 7-6 when Riley lined a ball to center field when the Shooters center fielder diving attempt failed and rolled all the way to the warning track allowing Calhoon to speed around the bases for the go ahead run. In game two, Winner/Colome was able to get big hits all throughout the lineup, including big runs batted in by Jeremiah Yeamin and Calhoon. The Royals now wait to see who they play in their first round playoff matchup early next week. Stay tuned to kwyr.com for the details!
