Wild Cow Riding Teams Wanted!

The Sandhills Ranch Expo is in search of the best Wild Cow Riders in the area to participate in the Wild Cow Riding during the Rough Stock Challenge on June 19th in Bassett. The objective is to saddle a completely wild cow and ride it for 8 seconds. It’s a $100 entry fee per 4 man team and 100 percent payback plus $1,000 added. Special 200 Tonight at Howard Wood

Tonight, at the annual Howard Wood Dakota Replays in Sioux Falls, the Special 200 Meters will be run, and it includes Nick Sayler of White River. Also in tonight’s event is Isaiah Olsen of Bismark, ND, Jacob Hyde of St. Thomas More, Joe Fahnbulleh of Hopkins, MN, Ethan Peal of Albertville, MN, Calob Larson of Bismark, ND, Jake Werner of Watertown, and Breken Hamilton of Harrisburg.

Triple Crown Rodeo

The Triple Crown Rodeo will be held this weekend in Winner.

Friday beginning at 1pm, Boys Cutting followed by Girls Cutting. There will be two rounds of cutting and then there will be two rounds of working cow horse.

On Saturday, the rodeo will begin at 10am. There are 95 contestants entered in the 3 performance rodeo. Two performances are held in Winner and the third performance is held in Burke on Sunday. There will be two performances held in Winner on Saturday. There are 11 rodeo members of the Tripp County Rodeo Team. They have a successful set of rodeo athletes and two of them made it to nationals last year and will have the chance to earn that again.

The weather should be perfect for a great weekend of High School rodeo.

Signup for Summer Baseball Teams!

Signup for summer baseball teams that play at Leahy Bowl will be this Wednesday, May 1st, from 5:00-5:30 PM at at the Winner Legion (formerly Sodak Printers).

This includes the Winner 13-14’s Team, Winner 15-16’s Team, and the Winner/Colome Legion Team. These teams are open to baseball players that turn 13 before January 1st of this year to those that were stil 18 as of January 1st, 2018.

Games will begin the first week of June and run thru at least until mid-July.  For all questions, call John Calhoon at 842-1645.
