A small severe weather cell struck southern Winner last night with heavy straight line winds, a possible tornado, and hail ripping through the isolated area of Tripp county last night. This incredible small cell caused damage to houses, trees, sheds, machinery, trailers and more, with a north to south width of only a few miles. This storm knocked down power lines on south county road, along with 318th Avenue, and highway 18, plus it knocked over large, aging trees and even blew a large round hay bale across the highway and encountered a vehicle in its path. No injuries have been reported. Some areas of Tripp county remain without power this morning. We’ll have further details throughout the day on KWYR.
