Final Winner Summer Nights Tomorrow Night
The final Winner Summer Nights of the season will take place tomorrow night starting at 5:30 p.m. on the third block of Main Street in Winner. This night’s new additions include several clowns, a magician and a dunk tank.
Single vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon.
One person died in a single vehicle accident Saturday afternoon approximately 4 miles east of Winner on Highway 18 at approximately 2:40pm. Preliminary crash information indicates the vehicle hit a tree. The accident caused a fire, which was handled by the Winner Volunteer Fire Department. Also responding to the accident was the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Tripp County Sheriff and Tripp County Ambulance.
South Dakota Grassland Coalition Offering 3-day Holistic Management Event
The South Dakota Grassland Coalition is offering a 3-day holistic management event, featuring Joshua & Tara Dukart. Participants will learn about a decision-making framework that helps develop a successful business & livelihood. Teams are encouraged to register together and youth 12-17 are encouraged to attend, with a chaperone.
This dynamic event will be October 5, 6 & 7, 2021 in White River, South Dakota. The actual cost to attend is $400, however generous donations from the South-Central RC & D, registration is only $150 for SD Grassland Coalition Members. South Dakota Statewide SIBSHOP June 15th
South Dakota Parent Connection will host a statewide sibshop on June 15th at 6 p.m. Online Virtual Sibshops are for brothers and sisters, ages 8 to 13, who have a sibling with special needs or disabilities. Sibshops are a time to do action packed activities, play goofy games, and talk with other siblings who really know what it is like to have a sibling with a disability. To register, click here.

Last Day to Sign Up for Shooting Sports
The SDSU Jackrabbits are back home and facing their second consecutive ranked opponent as they take on Northern Iowa. You can hear that game on Magic 93 with Prelude to the pregame at 12:50, pregame at 1, and kickoff at 2 PM. Jack Rabbits with just two games remaining the regular season before playoffs.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will be back in action as they square up against the Wisconsin Badgers. You can hear that game on AM Country 1260 with pregame at 1:45PM and kickoff at 2:30 PM.
The Winner Warriors are headed to the State Championship Game. You can listen to the game on AM Country 1260 as the Warriors take on Bridgewater Emery-Ethan. Pregame will be at 3 PM with kickoff at 3:30 PM.
The Winner and Burke Girls Volleyball teams will be playing in the state tournament this year and games will start next Thursday. Winner will face Sioux Falls Christian at 3:45 PM in Rapid City and Burke will face off against Ethan at 5:30 PM.
Registration for shooting sports will take place early this year. Please make plans to come to the 4-H office in the courthouse today. Registration will take approximately 10-15 mins. At this time computers will be set up to re-enroll in 4-H and you will sign up for your shooting time. Your child must have had their 8th birthday before Dec 31st.
