The South Dakota Department of Veteran Affairs is now accepting nominations for South Dakota’s new “Fallen Heroes Bridge Dedication” Program. The first South Dakota state bridge was dedicated in November of 2019.   South Dakota plans to dedicate six state bridges a year in honor of fallen heroes that died while serving in combat.

The Farmers Ranchers Annual Meeting will take place this Wednesday, March 11th at the Brown County Community Hall in Johnstown, Nebraska.  A meal will be provided at 6:00 p.m. with the meeting following at 7:00 p.m.

There will be cooking class for Chamberlain youth on Saturday, March 14th at the Chamberlain Community Center.  The class takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  All children from grades K through 6 are welcome to attend.

The Tri-City Band Festival will take place this Monday, March 9th in Gregory, South Dakota.  The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Gregory Memorial Auditorium and is a free event and open to the public.  The festival will feature 7th and 8th grade students from Winner, Gregory and Chamberlain.
