- Road closure in Brule County Saturday morning August 8, 2026For those traveling in Central South Dakota, keep in mind that there is a road closure on I-90 westbound at Mile Marker 263 as of 11am Saturday morning. There is a report of a motorcycle accident on I-90 at the Chamberlain Bridge westbound. Traffic was reported to be backing up fast as of late morning.

- Lyman School District to hold back to school open house August 18th August 6, 2026The Lyman School District will hold a back to school open house on August 18th at the School. The elementary open house will begin at 5. An open house for middle and high schoolers will start at 6pm. There will also be a parent and student/athlete and coaches meeting that night at 7:30.
