Pheasants ready to battle the Blue Jays at Cadwell Park

The Winner/Colome Pheasants will take on the Garretson Blue Jays tonight in the quarterfinal round of the State ‘B’ Amateur Baseball Tournament at Cadwell Park in Mitchell. Coverage will start at around 8pm on 93.7FM. The Pheasants took down Northville back on Friday in their first round game, 18-1. Winner/Colome did not allow a hit in that victory as Austin Richey, Geno Katz and Ryan Richey had three hits apiece. The Pheasants then went on to beat Four Corners Monday, 14-2. Winner/Colome stormed out of the gates as they scored seven times in the first inning and never looked back. The Blue Jays grabbed a win seven days ago in the first round over Irene, 3-2. Garretson scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning. Dan Smith, Dustin Steckler and Nolan Luhmann had three hits in the win. The Blue Jays then went on to defeat Dell Rapids PBR on Monday, 7-1. Garretson’s offense erupted for five runs in the third inning to create some breathing room. Steckler was the winning pitcher on Monday.
