The State ‘A’ Boys Golf Tournament got underway yesterday in Rapid City. Tea Area enters day two with a one stroke lead in the team standings over St. Thomas More while Chamberlain is tied for fifth and nine shots off the lead. Nick Lust of St. Thomas More sits atop the individual leaderboard entering play today as he shot a 74 on Monday, two shots ahead of Brock Murphy of Tea and Brett Mattson of Lead-Deadwood. Chamberlain’s top golfer on Monday was Adam Hutmacher, who shot an 82. Danny Sazue of Chamberlain shot an 83 while his teammate Cameron Caldwell carded an 84. Todd County’s Bryce Hammer shot a 98 while Thomas Denoyer of St. Francis carded a 104. Play will resume at 10am central time this morning.
