Yesterday was election day in our area. Here are the results we have received.

In Ward 3 for the City of Winner council John Meyer received 67 votes and Orville Lund received 29 votes. There were 2 seats available for Winner School Board. Rusty Blare received 179 votes, Bill Mann 177 votes and Wayne Meyer 87 votes.

In the Mayor election in White River Incumbent Katherine O’Brien received 54 votes, Paul Knispel 37 votes and Julie Brandis 38 votes.

The Colome School District had a seat open for school board member. Brett Galbraith wins that seat with 87 votes over Shannon Kortan who received 45 votes.

Platte-Geddes had elections for school board.  Jess Sondgeroth received 216 votes and Duke Starr received 276 votes. Tammie Olson received 109 votes and Rob Graves received 97 votes. Jess and Duke are the new school board members.

In the Mayor election in Presho, Mike Sprenger received 125 votes and Tony Urban 64 votes. And, for Ward 3 Councilman Carl Brakke received 37 votes and Lance Mortenson 36 votes.
