The little league majors baseball tournament wrapped up in Gregory last night. In the seventh place game, Burke defeated Lyman, 13-2. Mission won a high scoring consolation championship game as they beat Clearfield, 17-11. Winner Gold beat Winner Purple for third place by a final score of 7 to 4. Gregory won the championship game over Colome by a final of 9-1. In 12 and under softball Wednesday, Burke swept a doubleheader against Platte as they won 7-4 and 17-3. The Gregory 10 and under squad beat Clearfield, 4-1. The Gregory 14 and unders beat Clearfield, 9-1. The Winner 10 and under team fell to Lyman by a final score of 10-8 last night. In teener baseball Wednesday, Parkston defeated Platte/Geddes, 13-9. Legion Baseball last night, Winner/Colome won 17-0 in six innings over Mission. Riley Calhoon, Carter Brickman and Andrew Laprath combined to through a no-hitter in the victory. The Valentine legion team beat Gregory in eight innings Wednesday, 5-4.
