Day 1 of the Milt Simons was held Friday in Sioux Falls. Locally, Aberdeen was able to strike late as they defeated Winner/Colome, 14-6. Aberdeen scored nine runs in the seventh inning. Drew DeMers led Winner/Colome offensively as he had four hits on the night.  Elsewhere in legion play, Platte/Geddes shutout Parkston, 11-0. Riley Hoffman was the winning pitcher as he allowed just one hit and struck out seven. Kory Peters had a big night at the plate as he drove in five runs on three hits.
