At the Nike Heartland Preview in Sioux Falls, Sean Fries of Minnetonka won the boys race in a time of 14:56:90. Libby Castelli of O’ Gorman won the girls race in a time of 17:18:60.

Golf

Michael Wright is atop the leaderboard entering the third and final round of the Sanford International today at the Minnehaha Country Club with an 8 under par score, after shooting a 65 on Saturday.

At the Lambley/Shepperd Golf Tournament on Saturday in Burke, the team of Joel and Billy Jons, along with Randy and Travis Anderson won the tournament as they shot a 60. Bruce Heyden hit a hole in one on hole number 8!

Winning the top 10 tournament Saturday at Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho was Casey Hupp and Kathie Diedrich.

THE GRAND CHAMPION IN CHEER WAS RAPID CITY CENTRAL WITH 157.5 POINTS. WINNER AREA PLACED FOURTH AND PLATTE/GEDDES WAS FIFTH.
IN STUNT/TUMBLE FOR CHEER, RAPID CITY CENTRAL FINISHED FIRST OVERALL WITH 157.5 POINTS.
THE GRAND CHAMPION IN DANCE WAS DAKOTA VALLEY WITH 188 POINTS. WINNER AREA WAS FOURTH, PLATTE/GEDDES FIFTH AND GREGORY WAS SIXTH.
IN HIP HOP, RAPID CITY CENTRAL WAS FIRST, PLATTE/GEDDES WAS THIRD AND GREGORY WAS FOURTH.
IN POM, DAKOTA VALLEY WAS FIRST, PLATTE/GEDDES WAS THIRD, GREGORY FOURTH AND WINNER/AREA WAS FIFTH.
IN JAZZ, DAKOTA VALLEY WAS FIRST, AND WINNER AREA WAS THIRD.
