The Harper Family will bring “God’s Word in Song” to the Gregory City Park tomorrow starting at 7pm at the enclosed 4-H building. A free will offering will be taken. The sixth annual autism walk will be held tomorrow at the Rosebud Elementary School. Also, the annual Charles Mix County Lincoln Day Dinner will start at 7pm tomorrow night at the Platte Community Center. Doors open at 6:30. The event is sponsored by the Charles Mix County Republicans.

Slave and pie auction coming up May 19th in Winner
Keep in mind that the Winner Baseball Association will have a slave and pie auction on Thursday, May 19th at the Winner American Legion. Hot dogs, beans and chips will all be served for a free will offering starting at 5:30. The auction will begin at 6:30pm.
Program coming up May 11th in Burke
The Gregory County Historical Society in conjunction with the South Dakota Humanities Council will present a program on Wednesday, May 11th starting at 7pm at the Burke Civic Center Community Room. Historian Arley Fadness will present a power point on Webster’s Bandit Buster. History buffs can follow the trail from Madelia, Minnesota to Webster, South Dakota!
Norris School reminders
The Norris School will be hosting a kindergarten roundup on Thursday, April 28th from 9am-1pm tomorrow at the school. If you would like to make an appointment you can call 462-6455. Also, the Norris Elementary School will be hosting a spring concert on Tuesday, May 3rd beginning at 1:30 at the Norris Gym.
Annual crop and livestock association meeting to be held next week in Burke
The annual meeting of the Gregory County Crop and Livestock Improvement Association will be held on Monday, May 2nd at 6:30pm at the Burke Civic Center Community Room. A couple of reminders for today
The Presho Fire Department will be testing their severe weather alert siren today. There will be a simulated tornado warning at 1:30 this afternoon. Also, the Cherry County Board of Commissioners will meet at 10am this morning at the Office of the Commissioners in Valentine.
Chamberlain to hold a blood drive on Wednesday and Thursday
There will be a blood drive in Chamberlain this Wednesday, April 27th from 10am-12:30pm, and from 2-6 at the Fire Hall. For more information call Karon at 730-1128. Also, a blood drive will be held this Thursday, April 28th from 7:30am-11:10 and from 12:40-3:30 in the parking lot at Chamberlain High School. This drive is sponsored by the Student Council. Soup & Sandwich Benefit set for Sunday in Gregory
There will be a soup and sandwich benefit that will be held this Sunday, April 24th from 11am-1pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium Community Room. The event is sponsored by the Gregory Rotary Club and the Gregory Lions Club. All of the proceeds this weekend will go toward the replacement of the digital projector at the Hipp Theatre.
