The Chamberlain/Oacoma Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Awards Gala on March 9th at Arrowwood Resort in Oacoma. The event will run from 6-9pm. The night will consist of a standup comedian and awards being handed out. Tickets can be purchased at the Chamberlain/Oacoma Chamber office.

The Platte Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual banquet on March 2nd at the Platte Community Center. Dueling Pianos will provide the entertainment. Social hour is at 6pm, steak supper at 6:30 followed by the entertainment getting underway at 7:30pm.

The Gregory Pool Committee has partnered with Frontier Motors of Winner and the City of Gregory in obtaining a 2023 Ford Bronco that the Gregory Pool Committee is raffling off to raise funds for a new pool.  Raffle tickets are $100 each and the live drawing will be held after all tickets are sold.  Raffle tickets can be purchased at BankWest of Gregory, First Fidelity Bank of Gregory, Consumers Federal Credit Union, or from a Gregory Pool Committee member.

The Colome School Board gathered for a meeting on Monday night to determine the future of the Cowboy Football Program. In a split decision, it was determined that the school board decided to try and field a varsity schedule for the upcoming 2024 football season.
