Sportsmax to air on 1260 tomorrow

We want to let you know that ‘Sportsmax’ will be airing in place of ‘Coaches Corner’ for the next couple of weekends while Doski is away on Christmas vacation! Sportsmax will run from 9-10am on Saturday and again on Sunday from 1-2. Doski will be back with Coaches Corner on December 31st! Happy Holidays from everyone at KWYR!

Day 1 of LNI!

Best of luck to White River, Todd County and St. Francis this week at the Lakota Nation Basketball Invitational that gets underway today in Rapid City! The White River Boys will play at 3:30 against Standing Rock at the Ice Arena. Tonight at 6:30, St. Francis will play Crow Creek inside the Ice Arena while the Todd County Falcons will play McLaughlin at 8pm in the Ice Arena. On the girls bracket, the White River Lady Tigers will play at 12:30 against Omaha Nation inside the Civic Center. At 5pm, Todd County will take on Lower Brule at the Civic Center while St. Francis will play at 8pm against Red Cloud in the Civic Center tonight.

Cubs to take on the Gorillas tonight!

A Central South Dakota Boys Basketball showdown will take place inside the Gregory Memorial Auditorium tonight as the Chamberlain Cubs take on the Gregory Gorillas! Chamberlain (1-0) was victorious on Friday night in their season opener over Sully Buttes, 59-41. Chamberlain’s first four games of the season will happen on the road before they head home for the East/West Classic at the end of the month. Tonight is the season opening game for the Gorillas. We will cover the Gorillas on Thursday night as they host Colome! Good luck to both the Cubs and to the Gorillas tonight!
