The Region 4B Teener Baseball Tournament came to a close last night in Platte. In game one, Corsica/Stickney beat Gregory in eight innings, 7-6. Platte/Geddes won game two over Corsica/Stickney, 8-6. Kimball/White Lake was crowned region champions after they beat Platte/Geddes, 5-3 last night. Since Kimball/White Lake is hosting the state ‘b’ tournament next week, Platte/Geddes has also qualified for state as the runner up in the region.

1st annual softball tournament coming up
The first annual Crow Creek District “Co-Ed Softball Tournament” is set for August 6th and the 7th! 8 teams will participate and it will be double elimination. Busy weekend of golf ahead
Don’t forget that an Alumni Golf Tournament will be held this Saturday at the Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho! It is a four person format. To get a team signed up you can call the clubhouse at 895-2659. Before that tournament, the Winner Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Golf Tournament on Friday, July 29th. It is a two person scramble and the shotgun start is at 6pm. To get signed up call 842-0686.

The Region 4B Teener Baseball Tournament continued on Tuesday in Platte. Game one went to Corsica/Stickney as they defeated Wessington Springs, 13-3. Gregory beat Colome in game two, 4-1. Kimball/White Lake scored a win over Platte/Geddes while the Corsica vs Gregory game was suspended due to lightning. Play will resume tomorrow at noon. In postseason amateur baseball last night, Kimball/White Lake rolled to an 11-2 win over Miller. The Class ‘B’ Legion Baseball Tournament wrapped up yesterday in Webster as Milbank won the championship over Hartford/Humboldt, 10-1.
Co-Ed Softball Tournament coming up in Bonesteel this weekend
A Co-Ed softball tournament will be held this weekend in Bonesteel! You can signup a team today by calling Luke at 520-730-0002. The annual tournament will take place on Saturday, July 30th and on Sunday the 31st. The entry fee per team is 100 dollars. The tournament this weekend is being sponsored by the Constitution Bar.

The Class ‘B’ Legion State Baseball Tournament will come to an end in Webster today. Last night, Hartford/Humboldt was able to hold off Madison 9-8. Milbank edged Vermillion by a final score of 2-1. Milbank will play Hartford/Humboldt at 1pm today for the Legion Championship. The Region 4B Teener Baseball Tournament got underway in Platte yesterday. Kimball/White Lake beat Colome in game one, 6-5. Gregory defeated Wessington Springs in game two, 17-7. Game three was won by Kimball/White Lake as they grabbed a victory over Corsica/Stickney, 11-6. Platte/Geddes defeated Gregory in the nightcap, 11-8. In the District 3B Amateur Baseball Tournament last night, Armour defeated Chamberlain, 11-1.

Winner Chamber Golf Tournament set for Friday
The Winner Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual golf tournament this Friday, July 29th at the Winner Country Club! It is a two person scramble format and it is $80 per team. Shotgun start will be at 6pm and supper is included with the entry fee. Flight winners will win Winner Cash. You do not need to be a member of the Country Club to participate. To signup call 842-0686.
