The University of South Dakota and South Dakota State Mens and Womens College Basketball Teams won’t have to worry about airlines getting cancelled today. The basketball teams are off today and will resume action tomorrow.
The Winner Warriors will play in the 11B Championship Game on Friday at the Dakota Dome. Winner plays Tri-Valley at around 1:30
We have plenty of golf tournaments that will be taking place across our area this weekend. On Saturday, the Winner Livestock Auction Tournament will be held at the Winner Country Club. The Murdo Golf Course will be holding a Co-Ed Tournament on Saturday. On Sunday, the Mens and Womens City Tournaments will be happening at the Winner Country Club. The Ainsworth Country Club will be holding their Mens Open Tournament on Sunday. A two man, 27 hole scramble will be taking place on Sunday at the Lake Platte Golf Club.

The District 5 Amateur Baseball Tournament got underway in Platte on Thursday night. In game one, Dimock/Emery defeated the Parkston Bullheads by a final score of 13-0. In game two, Alexandria edged the Platte Killer Tomatoes 2-1. In regular season play Thursday in Teener Baseball, Colome beat Wagner 8-6.
