The Wood Fire Department will hold their annual fundraiser this Saturday, February 18th beginning at 6pm at the Wood Community Hall. They will be serving up roast beef and pork loin this weekend. It is a free will offering and all of the proceeds will go to the Wood Fire Department. Make plans to come out and support the Fire Department and all of the hard working fire fighters in the area.

The Dakota Heartland Chapter’s Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Big Game Banquet will take place this Saturday, February 18th at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner! The 46th annual American Legion Midwinter Conference will be held Friday through Sunday at the Cedar Shores Convention Center in Oacoma. Meetings will start at 10am Friday, 8am Saturday and there will be a Sunday morning Memorial Service beginning at 8:30am. Also this weekend the annual Platte Hospital Auxiliary Pancake Day and Bake Sale will happen on Saturday from 7am-1pm. Stop by and enjoy a great breakfast for a free will offering!

We encourage everyone to stop by the Tripp County 4-H Center today to check out the 14th annual Bullnanza event! The day will get underway at 10am and run until 4pm. Some of the top producers in our area will be showcasing their bulls! You will also be able to take in the big trade show and enjoy the delicious concession food! Over twenty five hundred dollars in door prizes will be given away too.

Todd County High School Jobs for America’s graduates members will host an indoor walk/run to raise money for Tonya Whirlwind Soldier to help in her fight against cancer.
