The 16th annual Heart City Bull Bash is coming up this Saturday, February 11th in downtown Valentine, Nebraska! You will get to enjoy wine tasting, take part in the ‘Running with the Bulls’ 5k fun run and walk, checkout over one hundred bulls, checkout the art, craft and quilt shows plus much more on Saturday! Don’t forget that a ladies night will take place this Wednesday, February 8th at the Rosebud Arrow Rod and Gun Club in Winner starting at 7pm! Ladies are asked to bring their own gun (22 pistols only), ammo, eye and ear protection.  Members will get to shoot for free and non-members will need to pay five dollars. Ladies twelve years and older are welcome. An adult must be present with twelve year olds.

Coming up next Thursday, February 9th the Presho Chamber of Commerce will meet. Their meeting will take place at Hutch’s Café. The Valentine City Council will meet on Thursday, February 9th beginning at 7pm in the meeting room of the Valentine Public Library. The Platte Hospital Pancake Day and Bake Sale will happen on Saturday, February 11th from 7am to 1pm at the Platte Community Center.

We have plenty going on this weekend to get you ready for the Super Bowl! Super Bowl Monte Carlo bowling will happen Saturday night at the Bowling Dome in Chamberlain. It is sponsored by Quality Brands and Budweiser beginning at 7pm. You can still register at Al’s Oasis Last Chance Saloon for your chance to be a King for a Quarter at the Big Bowl Party on Sunday! One of the four will win a recliner courtesy of Schramm Furniture in Winner. Wings N’ More in Winner will hold a Super Bowl Party on Sunday. A pitch tournament will start at 1pm. Coming up this Thursday the Valentine Lions Club will be hosting a Groundhog Day pancake and sausage feed on Thursday, February 2nd from 5-7pm at the Valentine Lions Club.
