Attend the Mid Winter Fair this weekend!

The annual Mid Winter Fair will happen this Saturday, November 26th from 9am to 4pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium! There are numerous vendors signed up that you will be able to checkout to get your holiday shopping started! The Gregory Gorilla Mascot and Santa Claus will be making appearances too! The Gregory After Prom Committee will have a lunch stand at the event as well. There will be something for everyone this weekend at the Mid Winter Fair so make plans to attend!

Food Drive going on in Gregory County

The Gregory County Holiday Food Drive is underway for the month of November! If you would like to donate to the Gregory County Food Pantry, items can be dropped off at the Burke High School DDN Room, the Gregory Catholic Church or at the South Central High School Office in Bonesteel. The food drive is taking place all month long in Gregory County!

Show-N-Sell to happen at the Winner Armory tomorrow

ESA Beta Alpha will host their annual Show-N-Sell tomorrow from 9am to 3pm at the Winner Armory! The show will feature over forty vendors with craft ideas, jewelry, baked goods, personalized tiles, homemade crafts, scentsy, purses and much more! They will have concessions on site with indian tacos and fresh pie! Again this year will be the Chinese auction with proceeds going towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Put up a Christmas Tree in the Courthouse!

The Tripp County Commissioners invite everyone to put up a Christmas tree in the courthouse halls for the holiday season! Trees need to be put up between November 28th and December 8th. There will be an open house on December 9th that features singing and treats! The open house will run from 5-7:30pm. Trees will need to be removed by January 2nd. To signup to put a tree up in the hallway you can call the Tripp County Extension Office at 605-842-2858.

Workshop to happen in Ainsworth tomorrow

There will be a workshop in Ainsworth tomorrow from 10am-2pm at the Lutheran Church Meeting Hall to discuss principles of SOD health, adaptive grazing and cover crop livestock integration. The workshop is being sponsored by the Nebraska Grazing Land Coalition and Nebraska Extension. To signup today you can call the BKR Extension Office at 402-387-2213.

Thanksgiving meal set for next week in Chamberlain

A community Thanksgiving meal will be held on Thursday, November 24th at the Community Center in Chamberlain! The meal is free of charge and will be served from 11am-2pm. If you would like to donate to this event you can call Melissa at 734-6001, or if you would like to volunteer at the event you can call Deacon Jim Bregel at 234-5868.

Winner Parade of Lights information

Winner’s Parade of Lights event will take place on Saturday, November 26th on Main Street! All businesses are encouraged to register a float for the parade! If you would like to enter a float and/or you have questions you can call Karla Brozik at the Chamber Office at 842-1533. Parade of Lights prize winners will be awarded Winner Cash: first place will receive $300, second place $200 and $100 goes to the third place finisher. $100 for People’s Choice too!
