Winner Regional Healthcare Center will host a prostate screening clinic this evening from 4-7pm at the Winner Regional Clinic. The cost is just twenty three dollars. National Weather Service to host an open house October 8th
The Rapid City National Weather Service will be hosting a public open house on Saturday, October 8th from 9am to noon at their office in Rapid City at 300 East Signal Drive. Visitors will have the opportunity to see how weather forecasts and warnings are issued and also learn about historical weather events. A special weather balloon launch will be conducted at 11:30 to show weather data collected in real time.

Fall Festival to happen in Chamberlain-Oacoma tomorrow!!
The 2016 Chamberlain-Oacoma Fall Festival is set to take place tomorrow! The Farmer’s Market will run from 8am-Noon at the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot. A super heroes scavenger hunt will be held from 9am-2pm. A pumpkin decorating contest will be held as well and the winners will be announced at 11am. A vendor fair will be at the Community Center from 9am-3pm. Sanford Health will host a bake sale and craft show from 10am-3. The Cozad Library will host a story time starting at 10:30 tomorrow morning. Lunch will be available at the Community Center as indian tacos will be sold from 11:30 to 1:30. Coronation set for tonight in Winner and Colome
Colome High School’s Homecoming Coronation will take place tonight at the Colome Gym. Start time is 7:30pm. Winner High School’s Homecoming Coronation will start at 7:30 tonight at the Winner Armory. Any alumni reunions that still need to reserve last second seating for their class need to call Mona at 605-842-8125. Have a fun night at coronation to all of you that will be attending!
Chamberlain reminders
Don’t forget that the Chamberlain Nightengales will be meeting soon. Their next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 3rd at 6pm happening at the Chamberlain Country Club. Also, the staff of Senator Mike Rounds will be in Chamberlain next week. They will be at the Chamberlain Community Center on Tuesday, September 27th from 9am to 11am.
Cooler weather on the way tomorrow
The last couple of days have felt summer-like in South Central South Dakota. Cooler weather is on the way for tomorrow as it will start to act and feel like fall. After a high of 77 degrees today temperatures will start to dip. Thursday’s high is expected to be around 66 before it warms up to a high near 85 on Friday with a chance of rain. For the weekend, Saturday’s high is expected to be around 78 before the high on Sunday of 67 degrees.

The Burke Farmers Market will re-open this Thursday on Main Street! The market will be open from 4-6pm each and every Thursday through early October. The Chamberlain Farmers Market will be back open this Saturday from 8am-noon in the parking lot of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chamberlain. The market is open through October 1st.
