The Colome Volunteer Fire Department invites you to their annual fried chicken dinner this Saturday! They will serve fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans and desserts from 5:30 to 8pm at the Colome Legion. It is a free will offering and Modern Woodmen will be matching funds.

ESA Beta Alpha invites everyone to their first annual Paint ‘N Pour on Saturday, March 5th starting at 1:30pm at the Winner American Legion. The cost is $25 and registration forms can be picked up at This ‘N That , the City Office, the Chamber Office and at the Legion. There will also be a penny raffle for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you have questions call Ashley at 840-1541.

Don’t forget that the Christian Motorcycle Club of Chamberlain will host a retreat today and tomorrow at the River Hills Fellowship Church in Chamberlain. Also the “Hearts for the Hungry” Food Drive for the Gregory Food Bank is happening through tomorrow. You can drop off your food donation at Wear N Wares in Gregory.

The Spirit Gems Bling Fling will be held on Saturday, March 5th starting at 9am at the Winner National Guard Armory! There will be silent auctions, vendors, concessions and prizes. Come out for a fun filled day at the Armory.

Showing this weekend at the Hipp Theatre in Gregory will be the movie “The Revenant” starring Leonardo Dicaprio. Shows this Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at the Hipp will begin at 7:30pm.

The Gregory County 4-H would like to start a Lego Club this summer! If you would like to donate any Legos, please contact the 4-H Office in Burke at 605-775-2581 or you can just drop them off at the Office.

Keep in mind that the Kennebec Town and Country Club’s annual Business Appreciation Night will happen this Saturday from 5 to 7pm at the Kennebec Gym. Also on Saturday, there will be a game show night pool fundraiser at the Platte Community Center! There will be food for you to enjoy and a social hour is planned for 6pm.

The annual Border Bumper/American Legion Chili Cook Off will be held this Saturday, February 20th from 5-8pm at the Colome Legion. If you are interested in entering or if you have any questions you can call Janet at 842-2931.

The Wood Fire Department will hold their annual fundraiser this Saturday, February 20th starting at 6pm at the Wood Community Hall. They will be serving roast beef and pork loin. It will be a free will offering event. All of the proceeds will go to the Wood Fire Department.
