Night two of the Minors Baseball tournament was held Thursday in Colome. Burke defeated Valentine, 6-5. Clearfield got past Mission, 2-1. Winner Purple was victorious over Lyman, 8-0 and Gregory 1 beat Gregory 2, 8-1. Tonight at 7, Gregory 1 will take on Clearfield for the championship in Colome at 7pm. In Junior Teener Baseball last night, Kimball/White Lake beat Winner, 14-4. The Kimball/White Lake teeners beat Winner, 6-2. Amateur Baseball from Thursday, Plankinton beat South Central, 14-13. Four Corners defeated Kimball/White Lake, 6-4. Plankinton beat Chamberlain, 14-4 and Winner/Colome defeated Mount Vernon, 10-0 in seven innings as Jared Donahue got the win on the mound and only gave up one hit to go along with 15 strikeouts. Ryan Richey launched a home run and drove in three for the Pheasants while Austin Calhoon had two runs batted in.
