State Track and Field Highlights from Friday

Day 2 of State Track and Field from Friday in Sioux Falls:

*Emily Diekmann of Burke won the Girls Class B High Jump with a leap of 5-02. Maleena Brave of White River was runner up, while Kamaria Krogman of White River tied for fifth.
*Paige Bull of Burke won the Girls Class B Discus with a throw of 145-02.
*Iker Diaz Montilla of Burke won the Boys Class B High Jump with a leap of 6-05. Gregory’s Daniel Mitchell was runner up while his teammate Colt Keiser placed fourth.
*In the Girls Class A 2 mile Run, Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake placed fourth, while Kinsey Evans of Chamberlain was fifth.
*In the Boys Class B 2 mile run, Gregory’s Luke Barreto placed sixth, while Colome’s Joseph Laprath was eighth.
*In the Girls Class B 800 meter run, Gregory’s Asia VanDerWerff placed seventh.
*In the Boys Class B 800, Adrik Schoon of Jones County finished runner up.
*Lyman’s Aksel Ehlers placed fifth in the Boys Class B Pole Vault.
*White River’s Ethan Watson placed third in the Boys Class B Discus.
*Winner’s Shawn Hammerbeck placed fifth in the Class A Boys Javelin with a new school record of 153-11. Chamberlain’s Cruz Soulek placed seventh.
