For Constitutional Amendment F, An Amendment to the South Dakota Constitution authorizing the State to impose a work requirement on individuals eligible for expanded Medicaid benefits, there were 56 percent yes votes, and 44 percent no votes. For Constitutional Amendment G: An initiated amendment establishing a right to abortion in the state constitution, there were 59 percent no votes, and 41 percent yes votes. For constitutional amendment H, an amendment to the South Dakota Constitution establishing top-two primary elections, there were 66 percent no votes, and 34 percent yes votes. For Initiated Measure 28, an initiated measure prohibiting taxes on anything sold for human consumption, there were 69 percent no votes, and 31 percent yes votes. For Initiated Measure 29, an initiated measure legalizing the recreational use, possession, and distribution of marijuana, there were 56 percent no votes and 44 percent yes votes. For referred law 21, a referred act to provide new statutory requirements for regulating linear transmission facilities, to allow counties to impose a surcharge on certain pipeline companies, and to establish a landowner bill of rights, there were 59 percent no votes and 41 percent yes votes.
