The Winner/Colome Junior Legion Baseball team will play for a state championship on Sunday in Groton! Winner/Colome on Saturday defeated Beresford in the semi-final round, 7-5. Winner/Colome led it 5-0 after the first inning, and was able to hold on after a late game rally by Beresford. Winner/Colome is 8-11-1 on the season. They won their first round game at state on Friday over Clark Area, 9-2. Lennox will be Winner/Colome’s opponent on Sunday. First pitch will be around 5:15. Lennox is 14-5-1 on the season. Lennox on Saturday defeated Martin, 8-1. In the first round of state on Friday, they beat Faulkton, 12-2. We will have updates every half inning on Country 1260.
