The second round of the South Dakota High School Football Playoffs will happen on Thursday night. In 9aa, top seeded Gregory (9-0) will host the eight seeded Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds at Mike Dacy Field. Kickoff is at 7pm. These two teams played each other back in week 7 in which Gregory won in the rain at home, 34-6.  Wolsey-Wessington won their first round game last week as they beat one seeded North Border, 52-14. The Gorillas beat Elkton-Lake Benton on Thursday, 60-22. In Class 9B, the Burke/South Central Cougars battle unbeaten Sully Buttes in Onida at 7pm. The Chargers are the top seed in the second round and have dominated most of their opposition this season. Sully Buttes beat Hitchcock-Tulare last Thursday, 50-0 while the Cougars beat Scotland on the road, 40-18. Good luck to the Gorillas and to the Cougars !
