State Baseball from Saturday- Gregory victorious, Chamberlain falls in a low scoring game

In Junior Teener Baseball on Saturday in Webster, Gregory was able to march on to Sunday’s championship game as they took down the FH Hitmen, 8-3. Daniel Mitchell and Rylan Peck each drove in two runs in the victory. Trey Murray went 5 and 2/3 innings on the mound as he only allowed three hits and struck out five. Gregory will play Sunday at 5pm against Canova, who won a high scoring game over Castlewood on Saturday, 13-9.  In Chamberlain, Elk Point-Jefferson was held to just one hit, but still managed to squeak out a 2-1 victory over Chamberlain Saturday. Chamberlain was able to strike first in the third inning, but EPJ scored a run in the fifth and sixth innings respectively. EPJ will play West Central Sunday at 5pm for the State A Championship. Chamberlain will play for third place against Dakota Valley at 2:30.
