The Great Plains Conference Track and Field Meet was held Monday in Corsica. The Centerville girls won the team title while Burke finished second. On the boys side, Freeman Academy/Marion won the team title while Burke was runner up. Colome’s Riley Shippy won the 100 and 200 meter dash. Burke’s Bryce Frank was victorious in the 400 meter dash. Ben Witt of Burke took home first place in the 800. The Colome boys won the 4 x 1 relay. Burke won the boys 4 x 4 relay. Colome won the boys medley. Burke’s Ben Witt won the long jump while his teammate Sawyer Tietgen won the triple jump. On the girls side, Burke’s Kailee Frank won both the 800 and 1600 meter run. Burke’s Piper Hanson won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Elenna Koenig of Burke won the high jump.
