The South Dakota High School State Golf Tournaments wrapped up on Tuesday. At the State B Boys Tournament in Brookings, Chester was able to hold off Platte/Geddes by two strokes for the team title, 500 to 502. Gregory finished sixth as a team. Individually, Brody Boltjes of Platte/Geddes was the medalist as he carded a 152, one stroke ahead of Bennett Cassens of Faulkton. Dawson Hoffman of Platte/Geddes finished tied for ninth while Gregory’s Eli Fogel tied for 13th. At the Girls State B Golf Tournament, Estelline/Hendricks won the team title as they finished with a 542 team score, two strokes ahead of second place Bison. White River was fifth with a 560 while Burke was seventh as a team with a 576. Jayce Pugh of Miller was the medalist as she carded a 158. Burke’s Adisyn Indahl was fifth with a 170 while Kelsey Morrison of White River finished the tournament tied for 11th. At the State A Tournament in Spearfish, Sioux Falls Christian won the team title as they finished with a 719 team score. Winner Area finished third as a team with a 764. Maiya Muller of Beresford was the medalist as she carded a 155. Rylee Root of Winner Area finished the tournament eleventh overall with a 177. Chamberlain’s Alexis Cronk was 17th while Gracie Root of Winner Area was 19th. Winning the Girls State AA team title in Sioux Falls was O’ Gorman as they finished with a 622 team score. Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa was the medalist as she carded a 134.
