The Region 4A Cross Country Meet was held Thursday in Chamberlain. Miller’s Pierce Baumberger won the boys race in a time of 17:44. Winner Area’s Joseph Laprath was third in a time of 18:36. Chamberlain’s Isaac Shepherd was eighth overall. Park Sinclair of Kimball/White Lake was ninth. Miller won the boys team title, Chamberlain was second and Kimball/White Lake was third. In the girls race, Heidi Olson of Mobridge Pollock was victorious in a time of 19:52. Kinsey Evans of Chamberlain was runner up in a time of 20:04. Autumn Baker of Kimball/White Lake was third, Allison Hough of Chamberlain was fourth followed by her teammate Kylah Biggins. Chamberlain won the girls team title while Kimball/White Lake was second.
The Region 2A Cross Country Meet was held Thursday in Salem. Bennett Wassenaar of Sioux Falls Christian won the boys race in a time of 17:06:89. The girls race was won by Isabelle Bloker of Sioux Valley in a time of 18:38:33. Sioux Falls Christian’s Natalie Smith finished runner up. Sioux Falls Christian won both the boys and girls team titles.
At the Region 3A Meet on Thursday, Vermillion won the boys and girls team titles. Andrew Atwood of Beresford won the boys race in a time of 16:24:92. Noah Sayler of Lennox placed eighth. The girls race was won by Ella Pollreisz of Ethan/Parkston in a time of 19:20:14. Kelsey Schmidt of Lennox placed third. Lennox finished fourth as a team on the boys side and runner up on the girls side.
At the Metro Conference Cross Country Meet on Thursday, Lincoln won the boys team title while Brandon Valley won the girls team title. Cashton Johnson of Harrisburg won the boys race in a time of 16:09:88. Jack Castelli of O’Gorman was runner up. Ali Bainbridge of Lincoln won the girls race in a time of 17:38:19. Libby Castelli of O’Gorman was runner up.
