The Region 4B Teener Baseball Tournament came to a close last night in Platte. In game one, Corsica/Stickney beat Gregory in eight innings, 7-6. Platte/Geddes won game two over Corsica/Stickney, 8-6. Kimball/White Lake was crowned region champions after they beat Platte/Geddes, 5-3 last night. Since Kimball/White Lake is hosting the state ‘b’ tournament next week, Platte/Geddes has also qualified for state as the runner up in the region.

Gregory County reminders
The Gregory/Dallas Chamber has their final act in the arts and entertainment series on Thursday, August 18th, “Re-Percussion” at the Dallas American Legion starting at 6:30pm. Also, a reminder to be sure to save the date for the Beef Steak Banquet that is set for Saturday, August 20th at the Gregory Auditorium! Enrollment for upcoming school year in Mission
Just a reminder that enrollment for all new students and returning Todd County High School students is being held weekdays from 8am-3pm at the High School Guidance Office in Mission. Enrollment needs to be completed before school starts, which is August the 22nd.

1st annual softball tournament coming up
The first annual Crow Creek District “Co-Ed Softball Tournament” is set for August 6th and the 7th! 8 teams will participate and it will be double elimination. Farmers Market to re-open this weekend
The Chamberlain Farmers Market will be back open this Saturday from 8am-noon in the parking lot of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chamberlain. Upcoming deadline for farmers
USDA Farm Service Agency would like to remind farmers of the upcoming deadline for enrolling in FSA’s safety-net programs. You have until Monday, August 1st to enroll in ARC or PLC for the 2016 crop year. For additional information on this program you can contact your local FSA office.
Busy weekend of golf ahead
Don’t forget that an Alumni Golf Tournament will be held this Saturday at the Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho! It is a four person format. To get a team signed up you can call the clubhouse at 895-2659. Before that tournament, the Winner Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Golf Tournament on Friday, July 29th. It is a two person scramble and the shotgun start is at 6pm. To get signed up call 842-0686.

The Region 4B Teener Baseball Tournament continued on Tuesday in Platte. Game one went to Corsica/Stickney as they defeated Wessington Springs, 13-3. Gregory beat Colome in game two, 4-1. Kimball/White Lake scored a win over Platte/Geddes while the Corsica vs Gregory game was suspended due to lightning. Play will resume tomorrow at noon. In postseason amateur baseball last night, Kimball/White Lake rolled to an 11-2 win over Miller. The Class ‘B’ Legion Baseball Tournament wrapped up yesterday in Webster as Milbank won the championship over Hartford/Humboldt, 10-1.
Co-Ed Softball Tournament coming up in Bonesteel this weekend
A Co-Ed softball tournament will be held this weekend in Bonesteel! You can signup a team today by calling Luke at 520-730-0002. The annual tournament will take place on Saturday, July 30th and on Sunday the 31st. The entry fee per team is 100 dollars. The tournament this weekend is being sponsored by the Constitution Bar.
