There will be a blood drive in White River on July 20th from 1-5pm at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. If you want to make an appointment you can call Donna at 259-3372. A blood drive will be held on July 27th from 1-6:15pm at the Winner Regional Chapel, and again on July 28th from 8am-noon at the same location. To make an appointment call Lyndsey at 842-7178.

There were no shortage of runs scored last night at Leahy Bowl as Legion Baseball took place between two of our area teams. Valentine was able to hold off Winner/Colome for a big road victory, 22-21. A little league majors baseball tournament got underway last night. Colome beat Winner Purple, Burke was victorious over Mission, Gregory picked up a win over Winner Gold and Lyman defeated Clearfield last night. Colome advances to take on Burke, Gregory plays Lyman, Winner Gold will battle Clearfield while Mission faces Winner Purple.

Twins Talk returns today!
‘Twins Talk’ with Chris Doski will be back on the air today and tonight! Chris and a local Minnesota Twins fan will discuss the Twins’ play in the month of June and also look ahead to July, which features the All Star Game in San Diego along with the trade deadline at the end of the month. The program will air at around 3:45 today on Country 1260 and at around 7:10 tonight on 93.7FM!
Baseball from Monday
It was a busy night for baseball last night. At Leahy Bowl in junior teener action, Winner defeated Colome 10-0 as Evan Farner threw a no-hitter in the victory! Farner struck out four and walked three batters in the win. In teener baseball, Winner was able to defeat Colome, 1-0. In Junior Teener play, Platte beat Chamberlain, 13-7. The Platte teeners beat Chamberlain, 10-6. Gregory swept a doubleheader over Mission on Monday. Gregory won the junior teener contest, 10-0 and were victorious by a final score of 18-3 in the teener game.
Art Expo coming up in Chamberlain!
The 7th annual Art Expo will be held at the South Dakota Hall of Fame in Chamberlain on Saturday, July 9th from 9am-5pm, and on Sunday, July 10th from 9am-3pm. Local artists will display wood carvings, quilts, paintings, photography, drawings and much more. There will be workshops both days too. It will be a free will donation to checkout the Expo next weekend.
Walleye Supper to be held in Platte this weekend
Everyone is invited to attend a free walleye supper and to the new pool big slide donation and pledge opportunity for the new Platte Pool that will be held this Sunday, July 3rd starting at 6pm at the Swimming Pool/Ball Field area in Platte! Come out and support the pool this weekend!
Play practice going on in Winner today
The Winner Community Playhouse will be presenting a children’s play this summer! The dates for the play are July 21st and July the 22nd! This is for children in grades 5-7. A fun night ahead at Leahy Bowl with free admission tonight!
The Winner Baseball Association will be having an appreciation night and little league recognition at Leahy Bowl tonight with free admission for all in attendance! The Junior Teener game will start at 6pm followed by recognition of the players followed by the teener game. Tonight is a great opportunity for the public to come out and see the new bleachers behind home plate along with the refurbished light towers and the new batting cage!
