Bling Sale running through this week in Colome

The Colome High School cheerleaders are currently having a bling sale going on with several clothing items available for all ages! You can view the Colome Consolidated School’s Facebook site to view a sale brochure. They encourage you to order a glitter and rhinestone shirt to support the cheerleaders! Bucking Bull Competition coming up next week!

The Midwest Bucking Bull Association bullriding and bucking bull competiton is coming up next week! The big event is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 24th at the Shippy Ranch, south of Colome! If you would like more information on the big event you can go online to shippyrodeobulls.com.

Horseshoe Tournament coming up in Carter

The second annual Red Hills Last Chance Horseshoe Tournament will be held  in Carter on Saturday, June 25th at Red Hills Last Chance starting at 1pm. You must be signed in by 1pm the day of the tournament. The entry fee is forty dollars per team with 100 percent payback. There will be great food, fun and beer specials during the event! There will be an evening potluck meal starting at 6:30pm.

Farm Ranch Clinic to take place in Valentine on June 30th

There will be a free farm and ranch clinic that will take place in Valentine, Nebraska on Thursday, June 30th. This clinic in the heart city will give farmers and ranchers the opportunity to meet with agriculture law attorneys and ag financial counselors. Weber tosses no-hitter!

Congratulations to Winner/Colome Pheasant Amateur Baseball pitcher Drew Weber on firing a no-hitter Tuesday night at Leahy Bowl against Pierre! Weber struck out seven batters in the victory and allowed only one base runner on a dropped third strike. Offensively, Zach Harter had three hits and scored twice. Ryan Richey had a couple of hits to go along with two runs batted in while Austin Richey had a pair of hits. Winner/Colome is now 10-1 on the season.
