Twins Talk to return tomorrow

Chris Doski will be back tomorrow with another edition of ‘Twins Talk’ on Country 1260AM and on 93.7FM. Chris and a local Minnesota Twins fan will break down the Twins’ upcoming schedule and plenty more. Twins Talk will air at around 3:45 on Country 1260 tomorrow afternoon, and at approximately 7:10 tomorrow night on 93.7FM!

Best of luck to our area club baseball teams!

Club Baseball playoff action got underway this past weekend in South Dakota. We want to say best of luck to Platte/Geddes, Chamberlain/Lyman, Gregory/South Central and to Winner/Colome this week. Tonight at Leahy Bowl, Winner/Colome will host Chamberlain/Lyman in Region 4B first round action at 7pm. Wednesday night, Platte/Geddes will be hosting Gregory/South Central in Platte starting at 7pm. Best of luck to all the players and coaches in the postseason!

Reminders for today

Keep in mind that the Gregory Caregiver’s Support Group will be meeting this afternoon at 1pm at the Gregory Hospital. Also, the Kimball School District is holding a carnival and supper later today. Games will start at 3:15, and food will be served from 5-7pm tonight at the Kimball School.  The Burke Legion will meet tonight at 8pm at the Burke VFW too.

Help out Memorial Day weekend in Winner!

The Avenue of Flags needs your help on Memorial Day weekend to display the flags at the Winner Cemetery. On Sunday, May 29th, please come at 4pm to place the flag poles by the holes, and then on Monday, May 30th starting at 6am the flags will be placed in the holes followed by rolls, coffee and juice at the Legion for the workers. At 4pm, more help will be needed to remove, fold and store the flags and the poles. Please meet at the west entrance to the cemetery.

Tune in for Sportsmax this weekend!

We encourage you to tune in to Country 1260 this weekend for ‘Sportsmax’! The one hour program will air from 9-10 am tomorrow morning on Country 1260. We will re-air ‘Sportsmax’ on Sunday afternoon too from 1-2pm. ‘Sportsmax’ comes your way each and every Saturday on 1260 until we get you ready for ‘Coaches Corner’ for the fall sports season.

Area seniors ready to graduate this weekend

We have five area schools that will be holding graduation ceremonies tomorrow! Seniors at Kimball, Todd County, Colome, Gregory and Winner will graduate on Saturday. On Sunday, four area schools will hold ceremonies for their senior classes. South Central, Chamberlain, Jones County and Ainsworth seniors will graduate on Sunday. We wish all of our area seniors best of luck in their future endeavors!

Gregory County reminders for next week

We want to remind you about a couple of things that will take place in Gregory County over the next week. The Burke Legion will be meeting on Monday, May 16th at 8pm at the Burke VFW. Also Gregory Pre-School students need to be registered for the 2016-2017 school year by Friday, May 20th. Parents can get their kids registered at the Gregory Elementary School.

Club Baseball Playoff news

The Winner/Colome Royals will host a first round playoff game against Chamberlain/Lyman on Monday, May 16th at 7pm at Leahy Bowl. If Winner/Colome is victorious, they will host the Super Regional Tournament on Tuesday, May 24th. Next Wednesday, May 18th Winner/Colome will play at Drake Field in Mitchell at 6pm in a regular season matchup.

Vacation Bible School coming up in Winner!

Vacation Bible School will be held at the Methodist Church in Winner from May 23rd through the 27th from 5-8pm! Supper will be provided each of the nights from 5-5:30. Bible School is open to kids in pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade. You can pre-register now at the Church Office.
