All-Star Basketball Game to take place Friday in White River

The 10th annual boys and girls Great Plains Senior All-Star Basketball Games will be held on Friday, April 15th at the Barnhart Gym in White River! Girls game will begin at 6pm central. The halftime of the girls contest will feature the girls three point shootout. A dunk contest will be held after the girls game goes final followed by the boys game, and a boys three point shootout will be held at halftime. Doors will open at 5.

The Winner Area Girls Golf team were team champions at the Mobridge-Pollock Invitational on Monday! Ronae Klein finished second overall as she carded a 90. Liz Jankauskas came in third as she shot a 95. Sam Marts was sixth as she finished with a 112 while Addy Root carded a 114 for a seventh place finish. In Club Baseball action at Leahy Bowl last night, Winner/Colome improved to 4-0 as they beat Gregory, 11-1.

Circus coming to Chamberlain next week!

The Big Bend Shrine Circus will be at the Chamberlain National Guard Armory next week! There will be shows on Monday, April 18th and on Tuesday, April 19th.  They will have two big shows on both dates at 4:30 and 7:15. Tickets will be available at the door. Sixth graders and younger will get in for free!

Exercise your right to vote today!

Today is Election Day in Central South Dakota. Voting polls are open until 7pm. We do have a few local elections that are taking place. In Winner, there are elections for mayor and also councilman in Ward 1. Running for mayor are Roger Farley and Frank Finney. Running for councilman in Ward 1 are incumbent Dave Baker, Clint Woods and Isaiah Curtis. In Gregory, they have a mayor election going on. Running for mayor are incumbent Maurie Schlaht and Scott Anshutz. There are also elections in Presho and Kennebec. In Presho, they are voting in Ward 2 and 3. Running in Ward 2 are Susan Thomas and Colby Brakke. Running in Ward 3 are Angela Ehlers, Lance Comp and Robert Christensen. In Kennebec, they have an election for one person to the Town Hall. Running for that three year term are Debra Halverson and Jared Schelske.

Twins Talk will be back tomorrow

Chris Doski will be back with another edition of ‘Twins Talk’ tomorrow! Chris and a local Minnesota Twins fan will breakdown the first couple of series of the season and also how they think the team will fair in the coming months. The program will air at around 3:45 tomorrow on Country 1260, and at around 7:10pm on Magic 93!
