Winner Police Department confirms death

According to the Winner Police Department, shortly before 3am on November 28th, an officer with the Winner Police Department discovered a residence on fire in the western half of Winner. The Tripp County Sheriff’s Office, Tripp County Ambulance and Winner Fire Department responded. The fire department was able to extract one person from the residence. The individual was transported to Winner Regional Healthcare Center, and pronounced deceased a short time later. The investigation into the cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. The name of the deceased person will not be released at this time out of respect to the family as notification is pending.

Huskers fall to the Hawkeyes, 13-10

It was another tough loss for Nebraska on Friday night in College Football in Iowa City. The Huskers had a 10-0 lead at halftime before eventually falling to Iowa on the road, 13-10 on a game winning field goal by Drew Stevens from 53 yards as time expired. Husker Quarterback Dylan Raiola was 22 for 32 passing with 190 yards passing. Dante Dowdell ran the ball 13 times for 50 yards including a touchdown. Nebraska ends their regular season with 6 wins and 6 losses, and now wait to see who they will play in a bowl game next month.
