The Chamberlain/Oacoma Area Chamber of Commerce is holding their Festival of Trees for the entire month of December! The theme is “Christmas through the Decades”. You can pick up a tree map at the Chamber Office, and vote on your favorite tree!
According to the Winner Police Department, shortly before 3am on November 28th, an officer with the Winner Police Department discovered a residence on fire in the western half of Winner. The Tripp County Sheriff’s Office, Tripp County Ambulance and Winner Fire Department responded. The fire department was able to extract one person from the residence. The individual was transported to Winner Regional Healthcare Center, and pronounced deceased a short time later. The investigation into the cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. The name of the deceased person will not be released at this time out of respect to the family as notification is pending.
College Football coverage will come your way on Saturday on Magic 93. In the second round of the FCS Playoffs, #3 South Dakota State will host Montana at 1pm. Our coverage will begin at 11:45. In Vermillion, #4 USD will host Tarleton State at 2pm.

The 9-2 Minnesota Vikings are back in action today, as they will host the 6-5 Arizona Cardinals. Kick-off time in Minneapolis will be at Noon. The Vikings will look to move their winning streak to five with a victory today.
It was another tough loss for Nebraska on Friday night in College Football in Iowa City. The Huskers had a 10-0 lead at halftime before eventually falling to Iowa on the road, 13-10 on a game winning field goal by Drew Stevens from 53 yards as time expired. Husker Quarterback Dylan Raiola was 22 for 32 passing with 190 yards passing. Dante Dowdell ran the ball 13 times for 50 yards including a touchdown. Nebraska ends their regular season with 6 wins and 6 losses, and now wait to see who they will play in a bowl game next month.
The Pix Theater in Winner has a fun weekend lined up! They will be showing the new Moana 2 movie this weekend. Shows will be at 7:30pm tonight and Monday Nights. Sunday’s matinee will begin at 4pm. Today at 4pm they will show The Grinch. There will also be a meet and greet with the Grinch at the Pix beginning at 3:30.
