Baseball from Thursday

In amateur baseball last night, the Parkston Mudcats were able to outlast the Platte Killer Tomatoes, 10-9. Hayden Kuiper for Platte went five for five at the plate and drove in a couple of runs. Nate Spawn and Ryan Allen chipped in two hits apiece for the Killer Tomatoes. Elswhere, the Plankinton came from behind to defeat the South Central Storm, 9-5. Blake Hoffman hit a grand slam in the first inning for South Central. The Miller amateurs defeated Kimball/White Lake, 6-2. The Winner/Colome Pheasants were able to cruise to a seven inning win Thursday as they took down Wagner, 12-0. Drew Weber picked up the win on the mound. Austin Calhoon drove in four runs while Jared Donahue and Austin Richey were both 3 for 3 at the plate. Junior Teener Baseball from last night, Valentine beat Colome, 20-3, Onida was victorios over Lyman, 10-0 and Winner beat Mission, 15 to 4. In teener baseball, Colome beat Valentine, 5-1, Winner beat Mission, 20-9 and Onida beat Lyman, 10-0.
