The South Dakota CEO East Women’s Business Center will hold a building momentum women in business event on June 26th starting at 10:30am at Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma. There will be several different speakers as they celebrate women making a difference in the community.

Winner Chamber’s Spring into Summer promotion running through the end of today

Friday morning rain/hail reports
South Central South Dakota and North Central Nebraska had severe weather that took place on Thursday. There were reports of hail in Valentine, with the largest report being 1.75 inches. There was a hail report in Todd County Thursday evening, with the hail being reported as the size of ping pong balls, 8 miles southeast of Okreek. Here’s a look at rain reports that were called in:

White River Frontier Days Rodeo coming up next month
The 113th annual White River Frontier Days Rodeo will take place July 11th through the 13th. The rodeo will begin at 7pm the nights of July 11th and 12th. Slack on Sunday the 13th will begin at 10am. The rodeo will feature mutton bustin’, ranch broncs and a candy scramble for the kids.
Pickup and Tractor Pull set for next weekend in Bonesteel
The Bonesteel Fire Department will hold their annual pickup and tractor pull on Saturday, June 21st, north of the Bonesteel ball fields beginning at noon. Weigh-Ins will be at 10am. $1,000 in prize money will be up for grabs!
Rosebud Shrine Circus coming to Winner on June 21st
The 70th annual Rosebud Shrine Circus will be held at the Tripp County Fairgrounds in Winner on Saturday, June 21st. There will be one performance at 8pm. Tickets are available at Winner True Value and at Bankwest. Concessions will be provided on the grounds. There will also be circus novelties for the kids too!
Winner Track to get resurfaced beginning Wednesday
Starting Wednesday, June 11th, the Winner High School Track will be getting resurfaced. The track and access to the football field will be off limits for one week. No one will be allowed on the track under no conditions.
Burke Pink Ladies Poker Run set for June 28th
The Burke Pink Ladies will hold a poker run on June 28th beginning at Bill’s Bar. The ride will begin at Noon. Entry fee is $20 per person and $10 per extra hand. A meal and corn hole tournament will follow the poker run at Bill’s Bar.
Swimming lessons coming up in Bonesteel
The Bonesteel City Pool will be offering pool lessons this summer! Lessons will take place July 8th through 11th, and again July 14th through 17th. Times will be determined at a later date. To signup, call Jamie Divine at 208-0153.
Colome Fire Department to hold chicken supper tonight
The Colome Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual chicken supper tonight. It will run from 5:30 to 8pm at the Colome Fire Hall. It is for a free will offering, with proceeds going to the Fire Department.
