The Tripp County Library will be handing out candy, and taking pictures of children with their families in their costumes on October 29th during a Halloween gathering from 3 to 7pm. The Library is accepting donations of wrapped candy for the event.

The Clearfield Hall’s Annual Soup Supper is set for Sunday, November 1st from 4 to 7pm. It’s all for a free will offering! There will also be a silent auction and country store.

St. Joseph’s Fall Festival will take place at Mary Vale Hall in Gregory this Sunday, October 4th from 11am to 1pm. Here’s a look at the Brunch menu: Biscuits & Gravy, Sausage, Eggs, Cheesy Hash Browns, Pancakes, Fruit, Muffins, Breads, and Beverages. It’s all for a free will offering for the meal.  There will also be a Silent Auction, Games, Cake Walk, and a Country Store.

The Winner Catholic Church Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, October 11th from 4:30-6:30pm at St. Mary’s Hall.  They will be serving a full turkey dinner.  Tickets for carry out, dine in & delivery are available at the Parish Office, Marty’s and at the door.  For in City Delivery please call 605-840-2003between 4:30 and 6:30pm.

The Springview Methodist Church will host their annual Harvest Home Dinner and Auction at the Springview High School on Sunday, October 4th.  The dinner will be from 12:30-2:30, with the auction to follow. The dinner will feature turkey and dressing, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, home-made salads, pies and desserts with a free-will offering, all created by some of the best cooks in the county.  The auction will start at 2:30 and will feature a wide variety of home-made items from church members.

Homecoming Coronation was held Thursday night in Winner and in Platte. At the Winner Armory, Carter Craven was named Homecoming Warrior, and Alice Wilson was named Homecoming Princess. Sandra York was named the Homecoming Parade Marshal. In Platte, Asher Kott was named Homecoming King, while Claire Maydew was named Homecoming Queen.

The Chamberlain/Oacoma Area Chamber of Commerce will hold it’s annual Harvest Festival this Saturday, September 26th at the Oacoma City Park from 9am to 3pm. there will be a pumpkin patch setup, along with a vendor fair and food trucks lined up all across the park as well.

The 74th Annual Meeting of the Golden West Telecommunications Cooperative is coming up this weekend. The meeting will be held on Saturday, September 26th beginning at 11am at the Community Center in Wall. Registration starts will begin at 9:30AM.

The final Burke Area Farmers Market of the season will take place this Thursday at the Burke City Park from 5:30 to 7pm. The Burke Community Club will be serving hot dogs for supper, along with numerous other vendors to browse and shop at!
