The annual Smoke on the Water Cook-Off will happen tomorrow at the Oasis Campground in Oacoma. The car show will happen at the Riverview Chevrolet parking lot starting at 11am. The corn hole tournament will start at 2pm. The rib and brisket feed will start at 5:30pm, and awards will be presented at 7pm. Veterans and first responders will eat for free! The fire department rib battle will feature teams from Kennebec, Reliance, Chamberlain and Oacoma.

Winner High School Student Council members are accepting nominations for this year’s Homecoming Parade Marshal through Monday, September 9th. If you have an individual in mind, send a detailed description of the individual’s background, and why you feel they deserve Parade Marshal to [email protected]. Coming up this Saturday, September 7th, the Full Gallop Band will perform at the Carlock Dance Hall! The band will play from 8pm to midnight. To reserve a table, it’s $5 per night, or $50 for the season. Concessions and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue.

An annual customer appreciation open house will be hosted by Agrimax, Covey Custom Application, West River Ag, and Weg Crop Care this Thursday, September 5th. It will be held at the East Shop on Harvest Road in Winner. Social Hour is at 4pm, and dinner will begin at 5pm.

The 18th annual Iona Cowboy Poker Run will happen on September 21st. Signup will start at 11am. All forms of transportation are welcome. A free will donation meal will start at 5:30pm.
